Sure they will. A lot of economies around the world rely on China buying their stuff, and there aren't many countries with more military power.

And in the wake of the financial crisis in Europe and America, China's authoritarian government looks a lot more attractive than chaotic democracy, making it easier for China to export its ideas and values
On the list of things that make an influential world power, doing nice stuff is pretty far down the list.
