she said "yes." Each of those times was a damned lie.

She left her book at school and was hoping to get it before class and do the work then.

But Mom decided to double check her work and we discovered the lie. We tried to get the on-line version of the book to work but the PDF only goes through the 5th page of the first chapter.

WTF is wrong with kids?
