I must've been like six. With mom and my twin in parking lot next to our building where we lived at the time. This guy had some Saturday Night Special-lookin' gun, he was holding it pointing upward. He was talking to my mom, calmly trying to get her to let him in our house. My mom was relatively calmly telling him no, and "Why should I let you in my house", etc. Before I knew it, some plainclothes cops drove up in a plain car, with one of those police lights on top you put on the room with your hand (like you see in seventies cop shows). They arrested the guy.

My mom says that night changed the way she feels about cops. She used to not trust them, now she respects them (we lived in Argentina during a dictatorship).
