It surprises me too. I have spoken before my city council that was looking to ban them. They think the flavors are trying to hook kids. Like adults

don't have taste buds and enjoy sweet tasting things. They don't want to ban flavored liquor but flavored vapor is evil.
They think nicotine is the problem when it's minor. It's not worse for us than caffeine. Yes, it's addictive. Many things we use every day is addictive and all of us have one or another.
They see what looks like smoke and that is has nicotine so they immediately think it's bad for you. The next step is to ban it. Did they do any research on the products? Nope. It looks like smoking so they ban it.

    - They are. Ecigs take a bit of effort to keep them going well. Cigarettes take nothing but a lighter. I wish him the best of luck kicking the habit. -- nm - Krusty Nov 22, 13:46
