To many people hes an unpolished guy who makes mistakes....thats more more common than David Miller ever was...

Not saying I agree with it, but people want their politicans to be people not some tv persona. Most people dont realise the Ford's are rich. They come across as real people talking about real issues subways in Scarborough, making sure that people feel they get value for their money, fixing potholes etc.
A number of other politicans (personally I see Olivia Chow as part of this) come across as too out of touch, too tied to the politically correct, state invasive elites that seem to be found in too many cities.
I left party politics because there were too many people in it for themselves and for the friends with influence. Rob Ford's persona is so not that.
I would not vote for Ford in next years election even if I lived in Toronto....but I am not really like the alternatives either.
