Alice is 6, she has two little brothers, my guess is 3 and 1. When Erin was walking behind the coffin, she carried both boys in her arms. that's how little they are. They won't remember this or their dad. I'm not sure which sucks more. They will hear what a great person he was but they won't remember him, and that will hurt.

Dave was an Army Major. many officers and soldiers attended. There was an Honor Guard, they draped his casket with the US flag, while the church bell tolled. I have never seen this and was totally unprepared for how powerful it was. It truly paid tribute to a good man. He will be buried at Arlington in the next few days (private family event). I will pay him a visit.

this was just so wrong.
