Just an aside, but this is an incredibly sweet gig for both Downey and Marvel/Paramount.

Most of his acting can be classified as voice work. Almost any in-person acting he does is close up face shots that can be filmed quickly. Paramount can roll wheelbarrows of money up to his door, and follow it up with 2 or 3 guys with cameras and a microphone, and be done in an afternoon. Everybody wins. I don't see why he'd ever quit the job.
