There's no damn reason at all for the snowman to be in the movie. Zip.

Actually, there is one: to sell damn merchandise to kids, which Disney will, and will make a freaking fortune on.

But he doesn't fit in with the rest of the movie, artistically, tone-wise, etc. Remove him, and you don't think twice. He's not integral at all.

Once he re-entered the movie, and I realized he was there just for the sake of the merchandizing, I couldn't get past that sticking point.
