I think the perception is that Julia Roberts is wonderfully nice and deserving of her fame, J Lawrence is completely down to earth and humbled by hers

but Paltrow got everything too easy and is oblivious to how thankful she should be about it.
People appreciate the rich and famous when they think the status was earned, but turn on them when they think it wasn't earned, even if the person is nice.
