At the grocery store, I pushed my cart to the side to look at some chips. An older woman immediately stopped next to my cart in the other direction.

Three carts piled up behind, so I grabbed the woman's cart and pushed it further down the aisle to clear the jam.
Given the chaos on the roads outside, it made me very worried for the drive home. If we cannot manage a grocery store aisle, what hope was there for the drive back up the hill to my home?
Turns out I was right to be worried. On the way back, I made it up the big hill that was sanded by the city, but both entrances into my sub-division also have hills. They're curvy and they're not sanded. The far one (nearest my home) had a bunch of cars parked all around it because these cars clearly couldn't make it up. One car had clearly been pummeled. I was doing well until I saw a pick-up coming down the hill so I pulled over. The pick-up promptly hit a car coming down. And I had lost all my momentum so I started backing down the hill, at which point another car - which clearly saw I was backing up - decided to turn in behind me. Nuh-uh. Back up, asshole. I'm getting out of here. He was stubborn but he finally pulled away. I got back on the main road, made it to the other entrance of our sub-division, gunned it, and made it home safe.
I am frankly shocked by the number of drivers out there who feel they don't have to drive cautiously or defensively. My snow tires have served me well but I know better than to drive like everyone else has snow tires as well.
