It was very good. And totally based on his book. He pretty much took the same schtick over to "No Reservations".

That would be excluding some of the more recent eps like "Washington DC" and "Disappering Manhattan". - They seem to be taking on more of a travel, history and sociological tone. There's food in them, but the food is not the primary stress.
