Near as I can gather, she was a serial adulterer who used the same hotel over and over again to get pregnant without her infertile husband knowing.

Wouldn't blank-shooting husband be a little suspicious when his wife his gets pregnant, and the baby doesn't look like him?

Also, she leaves the nameless, sperm donor a note spelling out in symbolism that she used him to have a kid. Then, dude is surprised later when he randomly see her with the kid at the grocery store? Did she drive 30 minutes away, and expect to never see him again?
