I watched the interview with Tate on That Metal Show on VH1...his take...

at a show in BRazil (Rio) I think...
he was told that his brother was fired from the company and that after the show his services were no longer required unless he signed over his ownership in Queensryche....he was told this before they went on stage...he then spit at them and a fight almost broke out....
they contend he and his family was impossible to deal with and that Tate was a problem in the band and that he wouldn't sing the classics....
I suspect the truth is somewhere in the middle
