I've been wearing rugged crosstraining shoes (like this) for a while. But I'm thinking of going simple (like this) instead.

Old style

Some considerations:

My shoes generally need to be "tall" to support my orthodics. I need ankle support. But if I'm only going to wear them at the gym for 30 minutes/day, then I can just get some tall dress shoes for the rest of the time.
