It's strange to me that the airport is 'open' to accepting aircraft since A) JFK (very close by) is not and B) planes obvie can't land.

Spirit plane #2 is now heading south along the Jersey coast (AWAY from LGA). Not sure if they are going to hold over NJ like Delta plane #2, or if they are diverting to ACY like Spirit plane #1.
American canceled all of its ORD-LGA/LGA-ORD (and probably other LGA) flights for the morning. I thought this was crazy when other airlines were operating some flights. Now American looks genius.
