So how did you learn the rules / strategy / lore of the sport for your fave team?

I say this as while I don't need an offsides trap explained, my grasp of exactly what is meant by playing a high line or filling the channel.

Though it guess I can count myself lucky that I have an ear for UK accents and I can understand the words from the commentators

Not to mention that I'm barely up to speed on team nicknames and especially stadium names
