my grandfather was an avid baseball player and followed it pretty closely.

he would tell me things to look for when watching the games, and why things are what they are. He taught me everything I know about the game, and coached me when I played (not an actual coach, but he would watch me and tell me what I could do to improve).
He was a great man, and I hope to someday sit with him again and talk baseball.
