Does ST see any point in getting a passport *card* in addition to a passport book?

For my daughter I can see it being a good piece of ID since she's too young for a driver's license.
But if I don't foresee travelling by land or sea to Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean or Bermuda, does having a card have any benefits?

B/c I cross the border 8-10 x per month, my Nexus card is mighty handy --

Not really. The only benefit I could see if carrying that instead of her passport when she's somewhere else.

I don't see any use in having both -- nm
