It's a complex calculation that supposedly takes every facet of play into account to say how much better than Replacement Level a player is

I'm not a fan of that, but what really loses me is that you can have different values between groups calculating them.

It's All-Star level based on the calcs I've seen used. 8+ is MVP'esque but usually anything around 6.5+ gets in that range. -- nm
