The show has actually gotten decent early reviews. I wouldn't get too caught up in toweling disrespected. There have been great armed forces comedies

Over the years. MASH, Sargent Bilko, Mchales Navy. Movies like Kellys heroes. Hell, they made a great comedy about a nazi prison camp (Hogan's Heroes). There's no reason that the armed forces should be so sacred, with no disrespect intended. I have no idea whether this show is worthy or not but I wouldn't dismiss it without watching it.
