i think there's something being smushed with the dissenters.
in the end it is calories in/calories out that counts. how those calories are placed throughout the day and metabolic impact and such are different lines of approach or need.
shareyramble ahead:
i've online-tracked everything i've consumed and all non-baseline activity since around halloween 2007; and, though i had tracked in different ways earlier, paying attention to a certain balance of intra-day content and how i need to cycle calories has worked better and in a more lasting way than anything i've ever tried. still slower than a lot of others; but, man, it's given me hope. i've been battling since i was a kidlet, when my over-efficient metabolism kicked-in (i learned along the way that having been a premature baby increased the odds of issues later weight-wise - ugh).
each of us is so different.
