i've had a really hard time with something related to this.

while i maintain that, in the end, it is calories in/out that matters, the number of calories can vary a lot between people who are similar externally and behaviorally.

i learned as a kidlet that my metabolism is overly efficient. if i ate as many calories as the calculators say i "need" to eat to maintain my weight, i would weigh waywayway more than i do. it's likely i don't burn the average amounts, too.

it's so not fair. ;) -
