sigh ... super sad local news today - 65 year old County Controller collapsed at the gym this morning - 7:30 - unable to be revived.

he's been our controller for over 25 years - just a super great guy and this was totally unexpected. He was a regular at the health club for many years - morning work outs - and there were not only health club employees but also an off duty copy and EMT there at the time it happened.

he's going to be really missed ... and even though 65 - wasn't any rumblings about retiring either - so super big shoes to fill too

we're so lucky to have people like this in our local government ... it keeps the area on track and transitioning well for growth and all that stuff - losses like this are really tough.
