The researchers aren't actually saying "It's cold! And it might be because of global warming."

They're saying "It's cold in some places, but globally...... This may be caused by ..... according evidence gathered over decades."

You're basically rephrasing what climate researchers are saying to try to match what uninformed climate change deniers are saying.
