Nick specifically said in the grocery store "it's a bit of a risk but I have immunity"

So yeah - I think he cooked on the edge doing what he did with the thought that he would be safe.

Also YES - there WAS a discussion about the corn silk nest & Stephanie is shown saying "it's my ass" and Nick replied "let it go" - so he clearly put too much faith in the Michelin French Chef lady to defend/support it being there on the plate at the judge table.

Hindsight - maybe withought that - they would have won.

no matter how you slice it - this was a sucky outcome for BOTH Steph & Nick

and yes, Carlos surprises that he's still in it - I wonder if he has been sandbagging & will start to shine now that he's close?
