Bret was a tag team specialist for years and years before he got the solo thing going. He held his own in some old 60 minute draw matches with Ricky Steamboat when he was a top tier star in WWE.

His ring presence was great, even though he was also not fantastic on the mic, but he was better on the mic than Benoit was.
