honestly surprised they are getting another estimate - because usually the insurer has cost comparison data they check an estimate against to make sure it's in line. Do you know if the work is being done by a true water damage restoration company - or is it just a builder? that may be the issue - because the company wants to make sure you don't have a mold issue later where they could be sued.
