Recap from past posts:
- In October, landlord provided a new LLC name to make rent check out to. No problem, started making the checks out to the new name immediately.
- Sent checks, as usual in November (wrote check myself), December (bank billpay - have done this before), January (bank billpay)
- Returned from the holidays on 1/5 to receive a letter dated 12/21 that my December rent check had not been received, that their was a forwarding issue, and to please send a new check to new PO Box (that I was previously not informed of).
Since I used my bank's billpay to mail the checks in December and January, the money is already out of my account. It will cost $15 per check ($30 total) to put stop payments on those checks and get the funds back.
So I tried to call my landlord on Monday 1/6. Got his voicemail so immediately e-mailed him. I then e-mail again on 1/9 to follow-up because I had not heard anything. Today, 1/17, I left a voicemail and sent another e-mail because I STILL have not heard anything.
I'm slightly concerned that he is going to do something stupid.
