I detested the nominal main character to the point that he impacted my overall enjoyment of the books.

I dunno who's playing him in the upcoming tv show, but good lord, I hope they actually show him being useful since by about the middle of book 2, he wasn't very.

But Fet, Setrakian and especially Mr. Quinlan....bad motherfuckers.
