Watching something by yourself on the Internet is not the same thing as watching it with your friends in a somewhat festive atmosphere

I've seen people say this about stuff like movies/TV. For example, as a reason to not go out to the movies and just watch stuff at home later. It's always more fun when you do it with other people around, if you do it right.
