the cable comes out of the wall into the splitter.

One cable goes to the TiVo. TiVo is hooked to the HDTV via cable.

One cable goes to the HD Cable Box. HDMI/RCA-wires/whatever goes into the HDTV via AUX 1.

My TiVo should be able to record/function normally, and I can watch it on the TV as "cable," right?

Then I could watch the Cable Box on Aux 1.

Does that sound right?

I'm trying to figure out how to go CABLE >> CABLEBOX >> TIVO >> TV but it just seems like there's no need since the TiVo isn't an HD TiVo.
