He's been screaming about "taking back our country" and "overthrowing the idiot liberal government" for the last 2 years.

It's not a one time deal, that's his daily schtick now. I live in what is arguably one of the most conservative parts of the country. The big Boise talk radio station dropped him and Mark Levin last month because 1. ratings were down and 2. there were so many complaints over his content, now.
He may have started out as a radio "infotainer" but somewhere along the line he decided he was going to be the voice of the GOP and they let him. Now the backlash has started, he's irrelevant, and the GOP has some fences to mend. Limbaugh came along at just the right time to step in and convert all the disenfranchised hard core republicans to his cause. He was refreshing and entertaining at first, gradually he's decided (and been allowed to) become a kingmaker. I'm glad that many of the more moderate and libertarian GOP voices have started speaking out against him. He's a prime example of "be careful of what you wish for, you just might get it."
