to kind of catch you up on some of the details.....

1. This is the second time since Christmas that he has assaulted this sister. The last time, she dropped the charges and he was released after 21 days.
2. The SIL lives with the MIL, because she is seperated from her husband and does not work. When Ty moved, I bought his bed, took it there and set it up so she would not have to sleep on the floor there. When the BIL had no where else to go, he moved in too, and promptly took over the bed that I bought for her, and sent her back to the floor.
3. He has broken his mothers wrist in an altercation maybe 2 years back, and verbally abuses her daily.
4. He wrecked his mothers car the beginning of the month, and her replacement car, he also wrecked.
There is a serious trend of him getting worse with time, and no one wants to actually do anything about it. I do not know if she will press charges this time and make them stick, my guess is she won't. My wife pretty much said last night that she likely will never be able to cut the cord on this asshole, because he is still her brother.
I am in a really, really awkward position here, and can't stand to watch what is going on.
