My son's school now does drop-off. I got to work at 8:00 rather than 8:40.

3 kids, 3 schools. Tommy goes to a private school and their policy was that the child had to be escorted *TO THE DOOR OF THE CLASSROOM*. That means that between 7:50 and 8:00, it's fucking chaos in the parking lot and inside, and late arrivals were par for the course, especially since I had to drag along his two sisters.

Then I had to take his sister Beth to another school, where traffic was snarled and drop off was a long slog, so I would just park and walk her in.

Finally, Kate goes to the campus daycare. By then I'm already 20-30 minutes late, and I still have to walk across campus. But at least I've got a parking spot, since the daycare is so out of the way that no one parks there except for parents.

This morning, I dropped Tommy off at 7:30, I dropped Beth off at 7:40, and I was at the daycare at 7:50. This is life changing.
