speaking of this, it's crazy to me what school rules about pickup and dropoff are here. kids aren't allowed to walk home alone until 7th grade.

so parents have to pick up and drop off, or, for 6th graders, wait with them every morning and pick them up every afternoon at the bus stop.
we walked home alone when I was in third grade.
