For any of these gags to really work, Ellen has to know her audience. For example...the selfie gag...you KNOW Jennifer Lawrence will be down for that

So, you head her direction and hope the other people around her get into it as well.
Julia Roberts is over herself, as is Pitt...so head their direction with the pizza.
In this crowd, all you need is one a-lister to play along and the rest will join in.
