boy and girl fall in love
girl sleepwalks into another man's bed
boy is deceived by girls rival for his affections
boy is just about to marry rival when the other man (revealed to be the local Count) professes the girls innocence, and the rival is revealed to have lied to win the boys affection, and the girl sleepwalks across a cliff, wakes up to find boys ring on her finger, and they live happily ever after.
