From that list on B2, Tower Records is definitely the one I miss the most. my parents used to take us to late night trips to the one in SF, and it was

awesome. I bought my first heavy metal cassette there, with my dad telling me that I'd go to hell if I listened to that crap (he still let me buy it though, heh). It was an adventure going there at night.

KB Toys is probably second on the list. It was one of the few reasons to look forward to going to the mall, with parents, growing up; they'd usually let us wander around for at least a half an hour checking out the toys.

That list does miss some stores from "my" childhood though, like The Treasury (think Target in the 80's).

And, lastly, I agree with mara, if the Ben Franklins she's talking about was the drive through hot dog joint!
