I did my good deed for the day this morning.......

so it is snowing here, again, and I usually shovel my neighbor's sidewalk. (he is older, and just lost his wife a few months back). He had a visitor this morning, a nice older man pulls up in a car with WW2 veteran plates. As I am shoveling, and he is walking up the stairs, he slips on the top step, and goes asshole over elbows all the way down the stairs, hits the sidewalk hard. I run over and help him up, he is all discombobulated, and I suggested calling an ambulance for him, but he declined.

I thought he was gonna break his neck the way he was falling down the stairs. Mental image is haunting me today, as I pretty much saw it all, in slow motion.
