I think it was absolutely the expected play, even if it does demonstrate the overt racism/homophobia of reality television. Having said that, I also don't think there was much in the way of strategy demonstrated by any of them. He was an odd choice for the Beautiful People and they cast him out because everyone knew it. It was high school drama more than Survivor tactics.
