I think the story was playing with the idea of "false equivalence." The network wasn't carrying negative stories about the Obama admin, so that must have been because of bias in the news room and not because there's not much to report. Jerry seemed to think they had to be as loudly critical of Obama as they were of Bush whether facts on the ground supported doing that or not.
