I don't necessarily mind the character development episodes (when it isn't rick or carl). my two favorite episodes this season were the governor episode and the darryl/beth episode two weeks ago. but I think that says more about how they botch the action episodes.

the rick bedroom scene was uncharacteristically great. suspenseful and perfectly in tune with what someone would actually do in that situation.
