In response to "I'm really disappointed in WB's token release of Veronica Mars." by Inigo

Again, I'll say I'm surprised it had a theatrical release on any screens.

It was handled by the home video division of WB. I don't think the original plan called for more than token releases in NY, LA, and Austin (because Thomas would have made sure it played in Austin somewhere).

I'm pretty confident the original plan by WB was something along the lines of "alright, let him try this so he'll finally shut up about making that movie. It's not like he'll get the funding."
