remember him dealing with was with a walking bridge they wanted to build over Highway 109 that would allow people foot and/or bike access across the highway to the Dierberg's.

My dad thought it was more important to use those funds to fix a sewer issue that had sewage backing up into people's yards (and in some cases, basements) in one of the areas. Enough people fought against that that the bridge ended up winning and getting the funds.
