We generally hike the Mouse's Tank trail and the White Dome loop. Most strenuous section is the steep down-slope at the beginning of White Dome but this is the trail that leads to the filming location site for The Professionals. Mouse's Tank trail is sandy, but worth it for the petroglyphs. There are restrooms and shade ramadas at both trail heads for those who might want to just sit and wait for us...I did this the first couple of times we visited White Dome :)

  - Sturdy sneakers should be fine. I can't remember if I've taken my boots in the past. Zeit wore sandals - I wouldn't recommend that :) -- nm - Meg Mar 19, 10:59

I wonder if there will still be flowers ... I think the desert is mostly in bloom in Feb/Mar ... at least in Arizona ... not sure Nevada. -- nm - JenBro Mar 19, 10:00 2
