Three days on the new job and I guess you could say I got a raise.

When I initially got the job and was told the salary it actually calculated out to being a slight pay decrease from my prior position basically because it was going from union to non union. I didn't say anything because the advancement was more important to me than the money. Today I was told that there was a mistake in the initial offer and my pay was actually 2.5% higher than the initial offer I accepted.

I have a sneaking suspicion that my old supervisor noticed that I was getting a pay decrease with a promotion and pointed it out to management, and that initiated the finding of the "mistake." That's just the sort of thing he would do.
