My point is that if you date someone for three months and intentionally choose not to tell them that you had a sex change, you are being innately dishonest.

What it sounds like the sister had was a crush on the guy in question. She didn't want to see him get hurt. That decision appears to be the correct one since her feelings for him led to marriage.
