we have swipe IDs here. we need them to swipe into some buildings. (the whole campus is converting eventually.)

a friend of mine works in a swipe building. her ID strip became demagnetized. she went to get a new ID. she was charged $35.
if she needs it to go to work, shouldn't work pay for it? we are mildly outraged.

I don't think she did. I think it wore out over time. she's been here six years. we swipe for *everything.* food, library, fitness center, etc.
