I don't think you watch the show. There was a team that liked to be called The Afghanimals (think Steve Martin and Dan Akroyd) who were vile during their first season. One got married, settled down and seems to have matured in a relatively short period of time. I suspect he only agreed to appear on the show if they did nothing that would cause friction with his wife afterward. We are still early in the season but the change has been dramatic. There is also an awful woman who is only on the show to justify having a litter of babies. She was unexpectedly kind to a deaf guy during the most recent challenge, even though one of them would finish last. It's been a refreshing season to watch.
