she's quite nice and everything, but sort of a control freak. and passive aggressive.

This whole handover thing wasn't even pre-discussed. We were just summoned to meet them up there and this was done. In front of Dave's mom, so, that made it trickier to question too much because his mom would misunderstand what was happening and get mad/upset. It was a bit of an ambush.

we really almost never see them (we have NOTHING in common). Their daughter is close to my age though, and we get along great. :)
